Un puzzle de plateau est composé d'une planche avec un centre en retrait avec un cadre à bord surélevé, ainsi que des pièces de puzzle amovibles. Cela permet aux pièces de puzzle durables de s'insérer dans le plateau, créant une surface plane une fois terminée, tout comme un puzzle ordinaire. Lorsque les pièces du puzzle sont retirées du tableau, vous trouverez une image grisée en arrière-plan.
